"An up-and-coming inventor always looks for other up-and-comers. Hee, hee, hee."
— Cosmo [1]

Cosmo is an inventor from the Space Kingdom. Although their inventions are quite useful, they're also prone to having life-threatening drawbacks. Cosmo has a habit of showing up right when needed by our heroes…and also disappearing right when needed.

Appearance[]

Cosmo has dark grey skin with light pink freckles, and black hair. They're around the same height as Almond, perhaps a little shorter.

Cosmo wears a pastel purple dress shirt, and dark blue overalls that fade into a lighter blue near the end, with star and Saturn patterns. Two stars are at the straps of the overalls, the same color as their shirt underneath, similarly, a larger dark blue star is near the collar of the shirt. They wear pink gloves, and have a pair of large blue glasses that obscure their eyes.

Cosmo is the first character we see from the Space Kingdom, and they have connected ears with moon symbols inside.

Personality[]

Cosmo could be called eccentric, but also farcical. They don't say much, and have a smug sort of smile. Cosmo is shown not to care very much about other people's health or safety, even willing to partner with known bad guy Glitchmaster, and some of their inventions are made with incredibly nefarious and destructive intentions, including a plan to literally blow up The Sun

Abilities[]

Cosmo is a very talented inventor, especially for someone referred to in the fact file as a kid. They are able to build fully functional ships and install complicated programming to their inventions.

Story[]

Chapter 0[]

Cosmo first appears whilst our heroes are arguing, and they introduce themself. They show the three their solar-powered boat, (which they called the S.S. Cosmo) but Cucumber is suspicious. They all get onto Cosmo's boat, but Splashmaster breaks it.

Interlude 1[]

Our heroes are boarding the Royal Sea Train, and Cosmo brings out a snack cart. The others (excluding Nautilus) are angry. Cucumber asks what they're doing on the train, and they explain they are driving it. They command a computer to make the train speed up, but it registers to blowing up the train instead. Cosmo escapes the train on an emergency escape platform (which, conveniently, there is only one with enough room to fit a single person) and suggests they find the bomb.

Interlude 2[]

Cosmo is disguised as Commander Caboodle, and copies his speech patterns, until they say "test subjects", and reveal themself. Initially, Cucumber assumes they were the same the whole time, but it's quickly disproved, and Cosmo points to the real Caboodle. He gets angry at them, but before Cosmo can finish their next sentence, Glitchmaster teleports them away.

Interlude 3[]

Cosmo runs into Glitchmaster's lair(?), asking why they were teleported away, and reveals their plan was to blow up The Sun. Glitchmaster warns them not to draw any of the Nightmare Knight's attention. Cosmo seems down about it, and Glitchmaster promises them that Dreamside will soon "be their playgound".
